We asked this question to owner Leigh from award winning jeweler Rennie & Co in London.

“This year has indeed seen many changes to our everyday lives and through necessity, weddings have been of a more intimate nature. Whilst this is partly as a result of recent government restrictions, there has without doubt been a noticeable shift towards smaller and more intimate weddings over the past few years.”

For many couples tying the knot, a wish to really enjoy the moment has led them to choose a less formal and a more bespoke wedding day. “There has been a marked shift towards finding independent suppliers whether it be the bridal boutique or the jewellers that can offer both a relaxed and customised service. In essence the lead up and preparation to the big day has become just as important as the wedding day itself! Let’s be honest, no bride or groom wishes to endure lacklustre or indifferent service when choosing something as important as a wedding ring”.
