Emma + Tom's Loseley Park wedding

Emma - "I got married in the village where I grew up which has a 12th century beautiful church and then the reception was at Loseley Park. I grew up in a house surrounded by Loseley Park farmland and we would often walk through the estate so it was a very sentimental choice of venue and meant we didn’t have to look anywhere else!"

Emma chose a dress by Paloma Banca with a silk satin skirt and square back. Emma's dress was a bespoke design that we created especially for her, with added lace detail to create a sleeve and to trim the back. Our seamstress further enhanced the silhouette by adding a petticoat under layer to hold out the shape of the dress.

How did you decide upon the dress that you chose?

"I knew as soon as I put the dress on I loved it but I wasn’t sure it was ‘the one’. I loved the waistline and skirt, it just felt so comfortable and flattering to wear. My family helped as they told me they could see how comfortable and happy in it I looked stepping out of the changing room. I had thought I would have had some lace on the upper half. I had loved the back of another designers dress which is where the idea of adding lace to the dress came from. Emilie had the vision and enabled us to see how it could work together creating the perfect dress".

What was the favourite part of your dress shopping experience?

"Going back to collect the dress once it had been made to my size and the lace had arrived so we could start to see how it would look together".

What shoes and accessories did you choose and why?

"My accessories were all from May & Grace. Rainbow club shoes – I’d heard good things from friends about how comfortable they were to wear, they were indeed, I lasted the whole night in them! They had such classic yet modern styles including one with pearls on which matched my engagement ring.

Rainbow club veil – I knew I wanted a cathedral veil to outline the train of the dress and there was one with small pearls which added to the theme perfectly.

Bobby Pin Hair accessory – so simple yet stunning, worked with either an up or down do, I decided to go up in the end and had so many compliments on it. "

Did you have a specific colour palette or theme for your wedding day?

Pale blue and touches of white. An emphasis on pearls, these were used on my shoes, veil and jewellery.

How did you feel in your dress on your special day?

"I couldn’t wait to put my dress on all morning, my Mum had hung it up in the bedroom and flared the skirt out on the bed which allowed me to fully appreciate it before putting it on. I felt wonderful in my dress all day, I couldn’t quite believe that I was finally wearing it and that it was our wedding day. It was so easy to wear but also had a fabulous skirt which had been added to by the incredible seamstress to give it more volume. I had so many people asking me about the dress and where it has come from, it was lovely to be able to explain it was two dresses created into one".

What was your favourite moment of the day?

"Dancing and being able to twirl in my dress to show off the full skirt".

Did you have a first dance?

"Latch – Sam Smith".
